Rotation Is The Missing Link In Your Longevity Training
Mar 17, 2025When building resilience and longevity, most people focus on traditional movement patterns like squats, hinges, pushes, and pulls. While these are excellent for developing strength and muscle, life rarely happens in straight lines.
Most movement—especially athletic movement—is rotational, as the human body is naturally designed to move this way. Walking, running, and throwing are fundamental human movements that rely on rotation, and training these patterns helps build strength, resilience, and longevity.
In today’s video, Coach Mark Wildman teaches a foundational rotational heavy club exercise—the circle—and combines it with a squat. This combination develops strong, functional legs while reinforcing core and spinal resilience through rotation.
