Knee pain and injuries are common, especially as we age. But for years, we were told never to allow our knees past our toes on squats, lunges, and while working out. The fear was that we would cause more problems by allowing forces to travel through our knees while they were beyond the line of our toes.

What we know now is that we can build resilience in our knees by taking them to their full range of motion, which included beyond the toes.

Many leg exercises build the muscles around the knees, specifically when the knee joint is far beyond the line of the toes.

It's always smart to start slow and with lower weight when attempting new ranges of motion, however, Coach Aleks Salkin offers a few ideas to get you started.

In today's video he shows 3 simples moves to start Knees-Over-Toes training with a variety of training tools.
